Some people think imported food exerts positive impact on our lives. To what extent do you agree?
Technical evolution in global transportation enables our people to taste fresh meal and fruits form other nations, and thus some people assert that importing food is beneficial to our daily lives. As for me,I totally agree with this view.
It is evident that international trades on food play a pivotal role nowadays. It not only provides citizens with abundant exotic dishes and fruits, but also,to some extent, increases communications between countries and enhances the recognitions of the indigenous cultures. For instance, compared with the markets a decade ago, nearly all supermarkets currently supply a lot more food from all over the world, such as Japan,Thailand. Therefore, what a great fortune to live in contemporary time, because we do not need go across our border to take the foreign dishes. In addition,we can also learn something like history or ethnical customs from the food we take. For example,Korean spicy cabbages, which are well-known throughout the world, were originated in ancient times when food was insufficient,Korean people invented this as a method to reduce their consumption of food. But at present, their offspring still keep making this cuisine to commemorate those hard days. So,this fragment of history is also shipped to the other peoples, intertwined with the delivered food.
Nevertheless,we can not underestimate the negative influence it brings to us.Indeed, although trades on food between nations can benefit both customers. It still might destroy the local food manufacturing industry, due to the lower labor price or other advantageous factors.Imported products appear in the domestic markets with the same quality as the local homogenous food, but less expensive.Furthermore,if no relevant interventions from governments, these local plants will definitely be driven out of markets.
To conclude,in my opinion, imported food has unbeatable merits, but we can not turn a blind eye to its passive effects, and I suggest governments to render moderate regulation to safeguard local food industry’s interest.

what can I say?
Brilliant!
