add,add up,add to,add up to的区别

一、add up把...加起来
例：
1. 把(数目)加起来(求出总和),加算,合计：
例：Adding these figures up we can find the answer.
把这些数字加起来,我们就可以找到答数.

2. [口语]加起来得到理想的结果,得出所求的总数；与所求的总数相符：
例：These figures don’t add up correctly.
这些数字加得不对.

3. [口语]言之有理,合乎情理,说得通,有意义：
例：The various facts in this case just don’t add up.
既然是这样,各种事实简直不合情理.[作此义解时一般用于否定句]

4. 估计,估量：
例：We added up all the advantages and disadvantages and tried to come to a decision.
我们全盘估计了种种利弊,力图做出决定.



二、add up to
1. 加起来等于,合计达,总计达,总共；有一定的价值：
例：The figures add up to 450.
这些数字加起来的总数是450.

2. [口语](总括起来)意味着,意思是,表明是,(总起来)等于是：
例：The evidence all adds up to a case of murder.
证据完全表明是一起谋杀案.



三、add to
1. 加,增加；加重；更加：
例：Add the second total to the third.
把第二笔总额加在第三笔总额上.

2. 增添,添加(某物)；加强：
例：The bad weather added to the shipwrecked sailors’ difficulties.
恶劣的天气增加了失事船只的船员们的困难.

四、add
vt.
1. 加上,增加,添加；附加；掺加 (to)：
例：She added sugar to her tea.
她在茶里加了糖.

2. 附带说明,进一步(或进而,接着,补充)说(或写),附言,再言：
例：He added philosophically.
他富于哲理地补充说.

3. 把…加起来,加算,合算；合计,加,计算…的总和,总共,共得(常与 up 连用)：

4. 把…包括在内,加进,插入(常与 in 连用)：
