find a place to stay in 这里有介词in；而As to where to stay,这里没有用in.这是为什么,请赐教.

一般我们说：
live/ sit/ stand/stay/lie+介词+地名.
如：live in Shanghai
sit under the tree
但：地点如用副词 here/ there/home/ where等,那么省略介词.如：
sit there
