British and American students are independent when they are young.They thing it's disgraceful to depend on their parents all the time.Generally,they will leave their parents after they are eighteen years old.They will rent the house with other or board in school ,or even rent to live alone if possible.
Because of economic independence,it is one of the obligatory courses to make money at weekends or on holidays.For some little kids,it's good chance to prove that they have been grown up.Parents will ask them to do something within their power and pay for them.
For some older children,they always join the“Working penple”as well as they must finish the homework at weekends.They will not only do some housework but also go out of their houses to paint new house number for their neighborhood.Sometimes they help their neighbors to cut the grass to get some change.
