all of a sudden a phrase occurred to me "if that ever happens" i dont know how to translate into chinese properly.whats more,if i change happens to happened, which is" if that ever happened" would that be better?thanks!HERMAN
YES,I wanna tell you that you are truly correct.Ever is a word represents a condition of the past,so the verb following should fits it's shoes, which means it must be in the same condition. So,happens i...thx for answering my question first. However what i was trying to say is , i personally think the phrase is kinda ironic. u know its like, yeah , if that ever happens, means it would never ever happened.actually i think its better for me to use "happened" for it seems like subjunctive mood as the aspect of grammer :D what do you think? thanks!Yeah, I get your point. And I really think you are right again, it indeed kind of ironic, just as you just said, from the intonation and usage. It is real nice to have you get into this conversation, and i've learned a lot by now. All the consequences seems trifal by now, the truth is that we all grow a bit by this question, by your creation.Thank you.Linwoodfeng
