出生于1933年,上海,高锟,77岁,从小对做不同的试验产生浓厚的兴趣,
1975年毕业于伦敦大学电机工程系Electrical Engineering,继而被奖予2009年物理诺贝尔奖.
被广泛称为是光纤之父Father of Fiber Optic Communications 的高锟说他绝对absolutely是少话的和从未期盼过获得诺贝尔奖的荣耀.高锟的成就是建立于他在研究上的持之以恒perseverance（名词）.他提醒学生们必须要有独立的思考.一个人必须有远见的forward-looking观点才能在科学调查方面做出巨大的贡献（用名称）.
高教授的话很激动人心,他希望年轻的一代younger generations通过在科技方面的探索为世界做出贡献（用动词）.
Gaokun,born in Shanghai in 1933 and aged 77 years old , has cultivated stong interests in scientific experiments since he was very young.In 1975, he was graduated from Electrical Engineering department ,University of London .In 2009 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics.Although he was reputed as" Father of Fiber Optic Communications ",he said: "I am absolutely speechless and never expected such an honour". He has attributedhis achievements toperseverance in his study. He proposed students should cultivate independent thinking. Only with foresight perspective , can a person make great contributions to scientific research.
Professor Gao's remarks are very exciting. He hopes the younger generation dedicate their energy to scientific research and make contributions through scientific exploration .
