There are so many living things and they are so diverse in structure and behaviour that in order to study them biologists have developed classification (grouping) systems.
Scientists also classify living things as it allows them to study similar features and to compare one organism with another.
Scientists classify living things so that they can study the different kinds without confusion. There are basic differences in the construction of every different kind of living things.Scientists like to examine those differences to learn more about the extreme complexity found in them
If they have lots of living things to think about,it lets them put them in some sort of order.
If they meet a living thing they have never met before,it helps them understand what that new species like.
Scientists can work out how closely related two species are.If two species look very similar, they are probably closely related to each other.
It makes it easier for them to tell other scientists about a particular species.
Classification means organising things into groups that share the same sorts of features.Science has developed a classification system because this makes it easier to identify, describe and remember things.
