try to do与 try doing的区别
try之后既可接不定式,又可接动名词,但含义上有区别.
try to do意思是“努力去做某事”“尽力干……”,表示想尽一切办法要把事情办成；
try doing意思是“尝试着干某事”“试着（用什么方法）去做某事”,表示一种试着、做做看的做法.试比较：
I'm trying to learn English well．我决心（尽力）学好英语.
I tried knocking at the back door,but nobody answered．我试着敲了敲后门,但没人回答.
instead是个副词,是代替、顶替的意思.instead常用在句末,说明被代替的人或事物.
例：We’ll have to ask Zhang Li instead.我们得请张力代替了.
Let him go instead.让他替你去吧.
I didn’t have a pen,so I used a pencil instead.我没有钢笔,因此就用铅笔代替了.
另外,instead之后可带of,构成“instead of”短语,意思也是“代替,顶替”,但instead of后面必须加上所被代替的人或事.
如：
I came instead of my brother.我替兄弟来了.
I’ll do the washing instead of my mother.我要替我妈妈洗衣服.
