Just wrote the following,I tried to keep it simple,because I was assuming you are not at a very advanced level:
Dear Mr./Ms.
I am writing to you to explain why I did not show up for the English test on this Monday.
In the morning that day,I was riding a bicycle on my way to school,as I usually did.Suddenly I got hit by a car,and my left leg was injured from the accident.I had to go to the hospital,and therefore I missed the exam.
This is basically what happened,and why I didn't attend the test.Sorry about any trouble I might have caused.I would be very grateful if I can have the opportunity to take a make-up exam someday in the future,so that my academic performance would not be affected.Thanks.
