Describe a specific situation in which you had to make an important decision, even though you felt you did not have all the necessary information. How did you cope with this challenge? How did you feel about the situation?
Tell me about a time when you volunteered to take over additional tasks. What promoted you to do so?Did this decision result in new/additional tasks for others? How did you involve them?
1.When I graduated from middle school and got my scores of examination for univercity,I have to make a decision of which univercity I would like to and could go to at the same time. But I only have 3 days to research more than 5,000 universities in China, and it is certainly that the time is unenough.
I did as my instinct although the feel of out of my control because of the lack of information makes me anxiety and angry.
2.The company I have worked in gave me a file which has 50 pages and told me I had to translated it into Chinese in 1 day and hand in tomorrow. That file was full of specialized vocabulary I knew nothing about. So I had to working all night. However,at about 7 o'clock the next morning, the manager called me for another 20 pages which was faxed by the client that morning. What is worse, the translated file must be used at the meeting hold 10 a.m..I took over this additional task, and finished it in time. This decision result in a half-day impropriation of the managers computer that he didn't work conveniently that morning. But nobody had any grumble because everyone knew that was all for the company.
