standard deviation是标准偏差的意思。
这句话的意思是：这些数字的标准偏差平均值是2.5，如果X是其中的一个数字，并且X是上面平均偏差值的2倍，求X的值，也就是问X是多少。很明显是5.

这个列表中的数字平均上都有个2.5左右的偏差，如果X是这个列表中2倍高于标准偏差的数字的话，那么X是多少？···应该是5吧，····这话真不大好翻译，

我正好做到这道题,看了老半天终于明白了：有一组数字平均数是8,标准差是2.5.如果x是这组数字中的一个,并且比平均数大两个标准差那么多,x的值是多少.其实不好理解的就是那个“2 standard deviations above the mean”,就是比8大两个2.5嘛……x==8+2.5x2=13……
