我只知道没偷钱这个事肯定发生在insist之前~于是insist是过去式，偷钱就应该是过去完成时了= =（本人很不喜欢这种教条式的东西= =）
至于后一项，如果我没记错，should be set free和be set free是一样的效果~~should可以省略掉的~~如八月好个秋说的，insist的宾语用原形，就是因为其实这个句型是XX insist that XX （should） do sth.
这题其实可以拆成两句话。The boy insisted that he hadn't stolen the money.和The boy insisted that he be set free at once.这两句话是对insist的不同应用~~
