I had met Mr. Li before I ate dinner yesterday evening. He had a good president before he resigned.

I had met Mr. Li before I ate dinner yesterday evening.
He had a good president before he resigned.

I had already met Mr. Li when I ate dinner yesterday evening.
He was a good president before he resigned.

1、I had met Mr. Li before having dinner yesterday evening.
再然后 before + doing 。
2、He was a good president before he resigned.

1.I met Mr.Lee before dinner last night.
2.He was a good president before he resigned.

I had met Mr. Li before I ate dinner yesterday evening.
He was a good president before he resigned.

I had met Mr.Li before I had dinner yesterday evening.
He had been a good president before resinged.
