第一个应该是 “不容易被注意的 不显眼的” 部分
第二个意思实在是说不出来
我觉得第一个是“毫无疑问，毋庸置疑”的意思，有点象"certainly" ；
第二个有“言归正传”的意思。
其实上面两个句子都是一回事。
可以设想：有一大堆的工作要做，堵在前面，挡住了路（in the way），必须清理干净，让这些工作不再挡路（out of the way），才可以继续前进，去做别的工作。
所以说，out of the way可以翻译为：“解决掉；完工了；搞定”（在词意上等于 work out）。
第一句可翻译为：最重要的部分（填申请表）就完成了，但是我能请你做一个我们正在举行的调查吗？
第二句翻译为：既然我已经完成了工作文档，我想问一下你今天晚上的计划。
