作文The weather in New york
It depends on where in New York you're going.New York is a big state with a lot of different types of environments - from quite rural areas and mountains upstate,to big cities,to suburbs,to rural farming and fishing communities to beach towns on Long Island.
Long Island, where I live, has a very variable and often extreme weather - we go from freezing in the winter to broiling in the summer (right now,it's sunny and 80 degrees at 4pm and it's still spring),and there's a lot of humidity, which makes summers difficult.Upstate,in the mountains,it's cooler in the summer, with less humidity, but their winters are very harsh and snowy/icy.If you're asking about New York City,it gets insufferably hot in the summer (the buildings and streets just absorb and then radiate heat) and very cold in the winter (the wind whips between the buildings and just freezes you solid, sometimes).
You would need to have clothes for all weathers in New York, regardless of where you're going - you'd need more winter clothing upstate, maybe, and more lightweight spring/summer clothing downstate, but you'd definitely need a broad range anywhere you go.Because we have four seasons, meaning that our weather varies a great deal - very hot in the summer, cool and often rainy in the fall, cold in the winter, and cool (though not as cool as fall) and sometimes rainy in the spring - you would need clothes to accommodate all of that seasonal variation.
