For government,there are several vital things it can do to give play to its function.To begin with,government can achieve its fuction by developing renewable resources.In a long period,the government has been working hard in exploring renewable energy such as nuclear energy,solar energy,wind energy,etc.,which effectively slew down the rate of resource degradation.Moreover,by conducting all kinds of strict laws,regulation and polices,the government plays a crucial role in preventing the environment from being further polluted.In China,the government has been carring out the strategy of sustainable development for many years,which largely ameliorate the status quo of China's environment.Last but not least,it is government duty to avoid the war.During the wars in America and Iraq,many chemical weapons were used.Consequenently,the natural environment was seriously damaged.
Individual's power shouldn't be neglectd too.For instance,people cut down trees either for sale or for fuel so that the coverage of the World's forests is rapidly diminishing.If individuals could spontaneously protect the forest resources,our vulnerability to global warming would be reduced.What's more,individuals may make our earth a better place to survive by cultivate our environmental protection consciousness and abide by the laws and regulations,which are the government couldn't achieve with its power.
To sum up,the environmental protection is a universal event.It needs the government and individuals to work together to make a real difference.Any side of both parties can't be a good protector without the other side's support and coordination.
