The Boxer Rebellion is a Violence Act
The boxer rebellion was a series of looting,arson,killings of foreigners,by gangs of rural Chinese,who claimed to be in possession of supernatural power,and all foreigners were seen as ghost men that were to be exterminated,in china between 1898 and 1901.Boxer was a secret society founded in the northern coastal province of Shandong.The Boxers consisted of local farmers/peasants and other workers made desperate by disastrous floods and widespread opium addiction and found blame in Christian missionaries,Chinese Christians and the Europeans colonizing their country.
Initially,Boxers were opposed to Qing Empire,and then they were suppressed by Qing Empire,but later,the two sides reconciled and attempted to expel foreign influence from China.They have a slogan that is “Support Qing,destroy Western”.They utilized people yearning for supernatural power to assemble members.
During this movement,more than 250 foreign Christian missionaries and about 20,000 Chinese Christians and many Chinese have no relationship with Christian were killed.Dead boxers,Boxer supporters and harmless Chinese were countless.The Boxer has common behavior with Eight-Nation Alliance.They both did things like rape,robbing and many other things.In November,1897,two Germany missionaries,named Franz Nies and Richard Henle,were killed by boxers.Boxer Rebellion intensified in Shandong in 1898,3.They killed missionaries,burned churches as them pleases.They resisted all of foreign products.They called foreigners as “Da Mao Zi”,and “Da Mao Zi” must be killed.If Chinese people who believed in Christianism and Catholicism,they were called “Er Mao Zi”.Other people who know foreign language and using foreign products were called “San Mao Zi”,even to “Shi Mao Zi”.These kinds of people probably be killed or robbed.There is an unimaginable thing I found on the internet.It is that a family,8 members,were killed just because of they had a matchstick.
All the boxers had done were heartless,coldblooded things.Their behavior is ignorant,barbarous and useless.This movement didn’t change destiny of china,but scarred it.All savage acts are certain to lose.
