求写一篇简短的读后感 提供文章
SAILING around the world is one of the most difficult adventures of all time.People must fight storms,pirates,illness and fear for months to survive the difficult environment at sea.
However 17-year-old Zac Sunderland recently became the youngest person in history to sail around the world alone.
Zac grew up in Southern California,US.A year and a half ago,he had a dream to sail around the world.To make his dream come true,Zac used the money he had earned from summer jobs and bought himself a sail-boat.He named his boat Intrepid.
His parents had hoped he would find something that would create a fire in him,a passion that would direct him away from all the bad things in society.But even they were surprised by his dreams.
On June 14,2008,Zac left the port of Marina del Rey and headed west.He celebrated his 17th birthday on November 29 while off the cape of Good Hope in Africa!
It was on July 16,2009 that the teenager finally returned back home to dry land at the end of his voyage.
“It’s been a crazy 13 mouths and ...yeah,it's awesome to finally get back here,”said Zac.
Now he wants to write a book about his adventures.He hopes they will inspire young people to get molivated about their lives.
“society puts younger people aged 15 through 18 in kind of a box.No one's really expected to do much.You know,they just tend to go to high school and play football and that's pretty much it,”he said.
“There's so much more that people can do with the right motivation and the right ambition in life so...my thing would just be to get out there and do hard things.Go for it”
