请问英语中morpheme,morphs,allomorph之间的区别到底是什么?
资料中对morphs的定义是这样的:Morphemes are abstract units, which are realized in speech by discrete units known as morphs. They are actual spoken, minimal carriers of meaning.
读来读去好费解啊.morpheme和allpmorph都能够理解,但是看了morph就不知道该把它排到哪一类了.
Well, those are specific terms used in English phonetics and phonology and they can only be understood in English, and English only.morpheme=morph+emeeme=the minimal unit of ...morph= another FORMallo...恩。。morph确实是morpheme的一部分,但是比如cats和inter,他们的morpheme,morph和allomorph又分别指什么呢?cats have 2 morphs, not one.cats=cat+s-s is a morpheme as wellthe allomorphs of the morpheme -s include the plural and the third person singularDONE.Yeah! ;)-s的话,是inflectional affix吧?:)但是cat不也是morpheme吗?它也是个free morpheme吧?Well, if linguistics is the focus of study, -s should have been called a suffix, part of an affix. There are some languages that will have, perhaps inflectional prefixes, but in English they are all suffixes. CAT is a morpheme.
