Independent Composition:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?Students are more influenced by their teachers than by their friends.
I have been in school for more than ten years,during which I met many teachers and even more classmates.Among the classmates many have become my intimate friends who are still in connection with me now.No matter how unpleasant this may sound to my teachers,the influence of my friends on me is much more than that of my teachers.
While friendship is formed naturally based on mutual attraction between poeple,the realationship between students and teachers is somehow obliged by social rules and regulations.Thus,people are easily influenced by their friends whereas they may deliberately avoid what their teacher want to convince them,especially when they are not attracted by the teachers.For example,in my high school years my mathematics cource was taught by Mr.Li,who was famous for his teaching skills and knowledge.However,it was since his first lesson that I was annoyed by his arrogence and conceit,so I deliberately avoid what he asked the class to do,even though I knew his requirements were reasonable.In contrast,when some of the excellent students on the class,who were my closed friends,shared their experience on studying mathematics with me,I just accepted their advices without any hasitation*(hesitation).This is not a rare example.In fact,many teenagers have similar experiences,which show that friends have more influence on people only because they are more glamorous than teachers.
In addition,teachers are not only less attractive than friends,but also lack of time to be along with students.In most cases,a teacher only teaches a class for one semester or two,during which he/she is together with students only when giving lectures or in their office hours.Thus,their affects on students are quite limited,seldom more than knowledge and skills related to his/her course.However,the case of friends is totally different.Normally a class in high school share three years together,when friends meet each other almost every day.Moreover,since friends are involve in many aspect of people's life,they affect people in various ways.In fact,people's personality are largely formulated by their friends,which last even life time.
In conclusion,since friends are naturally more charming to people and they shares much longer time with people than teachers do,they undoubtedly have more influence on people.
