1 是时态问题.was 和would 相对一致.如果是is的话,would就变成will了-----is 和will相对一致：one of the playwright's hopes IS that the play WILL shock -- -. 2 如果括号里面是 who serves as / who served as...哦哦，2确实应该是serve as，不过后面有before结构前面到底是用完成时一般现在 还是 一般过去时？ 3 若选项为than my brother's dog won对吗？1 before going on to a successful career强调的是一种现象，与“时间”没有关联。2-- --than my brother's dog won中的won应该由did这个助动词替换。又如：She doesn't walk as quickly as he does (does代替walks)She didn't walk as quickly as he did (did代替walked)
