There are many reasons why people lie. For families, they lie to each other in order to protect the members of the family, especially they don't want their families worry about . . For students , they lie to their teachers in order not to be punished.
For employees, they lie to their bosses so that they can be offered a secure job to support their families. However, lies are lies. People in a state of peace make great efforts to be honest with themselves and about their work. People with different cultural backgrounds treat lies in some different degrees.
