About a month ago I bought vase in a large department store.Along with the vase I had bought many other stuff.In the end I had bought so many things that I was unable to carry them all by myself.So I required delivery service.
After I had gotten home,the goods were soon delivered to my doorstep.I was too tired to check all the goods so I just signed the confirmation sheet and let the delivery man go.
However,the next morning when I unpacked all the goods and tried to sort them out,I realised something was wrong.There was a long crack on the neck of the expensive vase that I had bought.The beautiful vase looked ugly with that long crack.I realised that the vase must have been broken when it was being delivered.The delivery man was so careless.Frustrated,I got up and called the department store and asked to speak to the manager.Mr Zhou,the manager in charge of public relations,soon answered the phone.I told him about the defective vase and requested for another new vase.Mr Zhou,after hearing me talk for two minutes,firmly refused my request by saying that since I had signed the confirmation sheet,I had acknowledged that all the goods were in good shape,so I had no reason to ask for a new vase.I was furious at his reply and said if I couldn't get a new vase,then I would return the defective vase to the store and ask for my money back.Once again the manager refused on the ground that what was sold was sold and could not be taken back.
I slammed down the receiver and was beside myself with anger.How could the man be so self-righteous?He could at least apologised for the inconvenience caused.But thinking rationally,I knew that I had no ground to ask for refund.So I just kept the defective vase and used it to remind myself that I should check carefully next time.
够长了吧……讲了一个人买了一个花瓶,在运送的过程中摔坏了.那人当时没注意,后来意识到的时候去找商店的经理,经理打死不肯换花瓶或赔偿现金,理由是客户已经在收货单上签了字,表明客户确认所有的货物都是完好无损的.那人气急了,但也无可奈何,理确实不在自己这边,于是把坏的花瓶留下,以提醒自己下次要好好看清楚.
