put down和put out 的区别

put out
1 拿出；伸出 cause to be out; extend
· As soon as we sat down,he put out a bowl,two chopsticks,and a spoon for each.

put down
1 把…放下 set down
· After he finished his exercise,he put down his pen.
他做完练习,就放下笔.
2使（飞机）降落 cause (an aeroplane) to land; (an aeroplane or aeroplane pilot) land
· The glider put down there at noon.
滑翔机中午在那里降落.
3镇压；扑灭；消灭 suppress by force; destroy
· All the medical workers in the region helped to put down the influenza epidemic.
这个地区的所有医务工作者参加了消灭流行性感冒的工作.扑灭火一般不用put down ，用的话应该表示压住火势蔓延，而不是扑灭，所以用put out用put out
