give birth to live young 应该是“胎生”的意思,区别于egg"卵生“

give birth to a baby = 生孩子，生小孩(这里指人类，是不论男孩女孩)
give birthe to live young = “胎生”， 可以指人类，也可以指胎生动物“生孩子”
give birth to egges = 就是“卵生”，就不可能指人类，而是指“飞禽”之类的卵生动物“生蛋"
