我不看翻译怎么翻译不出来那一句“她认为这是悲伤所致”,怎么理解这句话?有什么窍门或者语法之类的?

这句话有语法错,也写得乱.语法错误：grief 是名词,若不加冠词的话,不能用在was 后面.恰当的词应该是,She thought it was sad.恰恰也是这句话(无论是grief还是sad),有人把它错误地翻译为：“她认为这是悲伤所致”.正...这是四级的题，不是改错的啊什么意思？就是说这个文段是四级里面一篇阅读的，应该不至于错了吧无论几级，跟你讲有错就有错。
纠正我的修改。倒数第二句应为：Since then, the symptoms have been getting worse and worse.
