英语中then 和 and then 在用法上有区别吗?

从口语的角度上说，语义是没有差别的。况且这两个词(组)在写作中不是特别好的词。
then 和 and then, 在口语的使用过程中，完全取决于谈话人的感情色彩（情绪）及讲话风格，这是个人掌握的层面。

个人觉得在意思上是没有区别的，或许在语气上and then更强调前后两个事物时间上联系得更紧密些吧
an then在用法上比then要严格，不能直接用在名词后，要不就整体放在名词前，要不就拆开在名词前后。
如： A few years later a hollow ball like the one we use today was invented. The game and(X) then quickly spread all over the world.
不能这样子加
正确的方法应该如下：
A few years later a hollow ball like the one we use today was invented, and then the game quickly spread all over the world.
A few years later a hollow ball like the one we use today was invented, and the game then quickly spread all over the world.

then是副词，and是连词，意思上没有区别，但是and then可以引导并列句，而then就不行了。
例：He came here and then he left.这是一个并列句，有两套谓语结构，所以只能用and then作连词。
He came here. Then,he left.这是两个句子，所以可以使用then

都起着副词的作用，用法上差不多

and then 表示然后，前后句子衔接比较紧密
then是之后的意思，前后句子相隔一些时间

then 之前要用逗号隔开，and then不用了，直接连接前半句和后半句
