I chose it because this university ranks among the top ones and I've been thinking about coming to study here for years since I was a little kid because this university is so famous and its history is truely attractive to me. And the general teaching style of this university is more than just being creative but also provides students with alternatives, which would certainly inspire them in one way or another.
The reason I chose my major is because my family background is related to this major. I figure it would be very convenient and with the enriched surrounding of the background atomsphere, I will be more than happy to chose and learn my major in such a wonderful university.

Jane: Hello, Tom, how are you?
Tom: Hi, Jack, I'm OK. Thanks. What about you?
Jane: Fine. Thank you. It's a pleasure to be your classmate. May I know why you choose this university?
Tom: Me too. Hum, there are many reasons, but the most important reason is that the campus is beautiful, the environment is good for study. What's more, the girls here are pretty. Haha...
Jane: Haha, you bad guy.
Tom: Aha, Just a jock. What about you? Why do you choose this school[注：school也可指大学,口语中常用]?
Jane: Well, I choose this school simply because of it's location, it's in Fuzhou, I like this city, I like to study and work here.
Tom: That's funny. Waht do you think of our major?
Jane: I like English, especially English literature, what's more, I like translation, hope I could be a translator after graduation.
Tom: Good point. I like English too. I think it's a good tool to do business with foreigners. I'd like to do foreign business and hope one day I could set up my own foreign trade company.
Jane: Wow, good ambition, Mr Would-be Boss~
Tom: Hah, thank you, Ms Would-be Translator~
