limit permit admit remind的用法及区别

1、limit 限制,限定.limit sb to do sth限制某人做某事
The teacher limited his students to 500 words for their compositions.
老师把学生的作文限制在五百字以内.
We must limit ourselves to one cake each.
我们必须限定每人只吃一块蛋糕.
2、permit允许.允许某人做某事 allow/permit sb to do sth.
允许做某事allow/permit doing sth.
You are not permitted to smoke here.此处不许吸烟.
The rules of the club do not permit smoking.这个俱乐部的规章不允许吸烟.
3、 admit 承认
一般为及物动词,直接跟宾语.He admitted his mistake.他承认了他的错误.
表示向某人承认用介词 to.He admitted to theteacher that he was wrong.他向老师承认他错了.
后加动词I admit breaking thewindow.我承认打破了窗子.
4、 remind 提醒.remind sb of sth 提醒某人某事,remind sb that + 句子
remind sb to do sth提醒某人做某事 Please remind me to finish my work.
