However,today westerners will send cards ,flowers ,and chocolates to their loved ones to show their love on14th February,In old Rome the young man were separated from the young girls ,only when 14th February ,the young men could carve the name of the girls they like on the flower vase.When they celebrating the festival,they could chase the girl to dance,if the girl also thinks the boy good,they could be lovers and get married in future day’s .in old Europe,during the Valentine’s Day,the young girls,names were written and put in the box.For the young man to pick up .the picked girl will be the man’s lover.The girl’s name will be embroidered on the man’s cloth which means it’s his obligation to protect and look after this girl.

From the different ways of celebrating,it could be find that these two festivals,focus on different things.Valentine’s Day was mainly celebrated by people who loved each other or those Christy.in nowadays,it is mostly related to love especially in china while double seventh day it was mainly celebrated by women who prey themselves a good husband and skilled handcrafting while its love meaning was just because of the story of the Niulang and Zhinv which was focused in recent years when people spend valentine’s day and they thought that may be we should have double seventh day the same meaning and spend our own traditional festivals,but not festivals from west.
Besides ,according to all the comparisons above ,a clear difference came out ,that is the way of Chinese thinking .As young girls hope for a good husband ,the westerns express their love and like to the one they love .this is the different when Chinese girls they know they what to love and have someone to love and love them ,but they are just wait for the right man to appear by himself ,while the westerns they write their blessing and express their love in a letter and even give girl to the one they like directly.Westerns were direct,and open-minded while Chinese the show their feelings or love in a low key and conservative way.The girls in ancient time,they had no chance to meet more man in their life.If they like someone,they could not tell him,or they could be thought back.So they prefer to prey to tree and the sky and the silver river to make their dream come true,rather than to chase their happy future but themselves,which was not agreed by west culture.
Although the festivals are both celebrated by lovers in recent years,however the traditions and the word view that showed in these two days by the Chinese and the westerns are totally different.Westerns send their loved ones the roses and chocolates to tell them loudly that how much they love them.Nevertheless,in china’s double-seventh day,people show some feelings very implicitly.The westerns are full of passion and hot but Chinese are kind and implicitly.
