Social networks,also known as social network softwares,are software platforms on which personal information and opinions are shared between users on the Internet.Famous examples of such softwares are QQ,Twitter,or Facebook.The fact is,many of us couldn't live without them.How many of you check your phones for new friend status the first thing when you wake up in the morning?Most of you,I would say.Don't worry,I am not here to judge whether this is good or bad.I believe people use social networks for a reason.
Although I would love to,I personally don't have much time to meet my friends everyday.Talking to them on the phone would be time-consuming and expensive.But with social network,I can see what my friends have to say and how they feel about what happened today by just looking at the screen.What I wish to say or share can also be seen by all of my friends.In this way,social network connects people and maintain friendship very efficiently.
Latest technology has allowed social network users to not only share information,but also files and documents.Files uploaded to the server could be easily accessed anywhere as long as there is Internet.
In conclusion,I think social network has the function of telephones,emails,USB pens and other unique features that cannot be replaced by any other media.It has become an important part of people's life and the society,and will continue to do so.
