2.Tourism in China
For some years, tourism has been enjoying great pace of development in China. Since Chinese people are richer than before, many of them can afford some tripe. As a result, more and more places create special things to attract tourists. In my opinion, China should make greater efforts to develop its tourism, especially to attract overseas tourists. The following two reasons can help expound my view.
The first reason lies in China' s uniqueness in attracting world tourists. With a long and rich history, China probably has the greatest number of places of historical interest. Only in Beijing can one find countless famous places, including tile Great Wall, the Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven. A tour to such places is very impressive and one can learn a lot about Chinese history and traditional Chinese culture from it. Moreover, as one of the biggest countries in the world it also bas many beautiful scenic spots, such as Guilin and the Three Gorges. Their unparalleled scenery give tourists most wonderful enjoyment and best memories.
The second reason why our tourism development should be accelerated is that a better-developed tourism will help promote our country's modernization with its large 'income. Take tourism in Beijing for example, the city's tourism income now accounts for more than 40 percent of the total revenue of its tertiary service Industry. It is playing a more and more important role in the economy. Meanwhile, with foreign guests coming to china, tourism serves as an important bridge for friendly ties between Chinese people and people all over the world.
Nevertheless, our tourist services are not as developed as what they should have been. In keeping with international practice, our tourism should be improved. In the following ways. First, the query of service should be improved. The guides should be not only fluent In speaking a foreign language but also knowledgeable enough to provide ready information on whatever is being visited. Secondly, the standard of food should be readjusted so as to meet various tastes of guests.
Next, travel fees should be properly regulated ill order to attract more tourists. Finally, transportation should be made more convenient so that tourists have easier access to some famous but remote spots. In short, I believe if the above are perfectly done, tourism in China will see an immediate rise.
